Andrew Whitworth – University of Manchester – gave the SNA / Innovation within Organisations presentation at the Vision conference on Firday. Knew what he was on about… Lots of insights into the implications of networks, rather than merely focusing on their structure. Main point was the “importance of weak ties” between cliques/networks within a broader context. It is these that spread insights between communities of practice from which innovation results. But how does this impact trust (which we want to look at)???
